Surrey Township Public Library would like to thank the Mid Michigan Quilters Guild for their donation to the library. They have made 19 quilts for surrounding area libraries for the children's area. The idea for this project came from the book "Picture Play Quilts" by Ami Simms that encourages children and adults to play with the quilt by finding items hidden in the fabric and making up stories. Joyce Harry and Deb Norman made the quilt donated to STPL and Ami Simms donated her book. Our quilt will be proudly displayed in the tiny tots room for all to see.
